Allergies and acne?

Does anybody know, or has anyone else noticed, if there is a connection
between nasal allergies and acne?

I've been doing a lot of spring cleaning this week, and have kicked up a
ton of dust and cat hair in the process. I'm having an allergy attack
in the worst way, untreated because I don't have any medication on hand,
and it's been going on all week. I've also noticed that my skin took a
sudden turn for the worst around the same time.

It's possible that it could be hormonal because the timing would be
about right, except for the fact that this is not how my skin normally
reacts to that.

I'm wondering if an antihistamine might actually help my skin as well as
my nose.

Anybody have any similar experiences?
As one with bad allergies year around, I am lucky to have pretty good skin. In
fact, I would say better than most, with little acne or blemishes. Even in the
spring and fall when my allergies are at their worst, skin doesn't appear to be
affected by it.

Probably a YMMV sort of thing. Maybe part of the problem is that all the dust,
etc is getting to your facial skin. Try to avoid rubbing your face, etc.
