Kiehl's moisturizer for dry skin?
I received samples of Kiehl's milky cleanser, cucumber toner and Ultra
facial moisturizer in the mail yesterday. While I did not care too much
for the cleanser (it did not take off all my makeup), I am intrigued
by the moisturizer and toner. Since I know I will finish off the
samples before my skin has had a chance to react to them, I thought
that I would turn to the collective wisdom of the board. Here are my
specific questions (I have dry to normal skin in summer, VERY dry skin
in winter):
- Is the moisturizer heavy enough for dry skin? Or is it meant for
slightly oily skin? (I intend to use it as a day time moisturizer and
will stick to my Cetaphil cream at night)
- Has anybody broken out from the moisturizer?
- Does the SPF 13 version of the moisturizer have broad spectrum
suncsreen (Zinc Oxide/Titanium Dioxide)?
- Does the toner have color and/or fragrance in it?
- Any raves abour the toner?
- Any other Kiehl's (dry skin care) products I should be conseidering?
-I have combo skin that gets pretty dry in winter. The ultra facial works pretty
well for me. I tried the milky face wash and found I had to tissue it off to
get my makeup off -- way too much trouble for me.
For your face, the imperial reperaiteur (sp?) hydrating mask is a nice mask if
your skin is very dry (if you can get a couple samples of this, they will last
you a long time.
There is also a thicker lotion for your face if it is very dry: creme
d'elegance repairateur.
If you have any super dry spots (elbows, feet, etc) kiehls makes an intensive
moisturizer that is good for those
-I have been using the ultra moisturizer with SPF 13 for over a year. I have
dry skin and I used to get red patches in the winter near the sides of my nose.
Now that I exfoliate regularly and use the kiehl's, I haven't had anything but
beautiful skin. I would like to know however, why is the SPF only 13. I would
like to have at least an SPF of 15.
