Over what length of time did you take the lessons and driving practice before test?
After a 10 year gap gap in taking lessons (was quite competant at the
time), I resumed again. Altogether I had 21 hours of lessons this time
(at age 32) plus one practice drive directly before the test. I passed
with only 4 minor marks against me.
Over what length of time did you take the lessons?
when I did my lessons, I started Mid July, then most of August,
although both myself and examiner had holidays booked during
july/august, so probably lost 3 weeks to a month through the whole
lesson period, all of Sept, and passed in on 2nd of October. After
taking the theory test, I booked the practical test as reuired, but got
a date with 6 weeks of booking, so I had some 2 hour lessons, and
sometimes had multiple lessons in a week.
I had my own car to practice (accompanied) with 2, so I reckon I added
about 1000 miles extra practice too, although I stopped about 3 weeks
before my test, as changing cars regularly messed up my driving a
little.
