Diamonds Rings
Diamond rings are a major investment. Therefore, it is important to be educated when shopping through a variety of diamond rings. The diamond is probably one of the most beautiful gems found in nature. The cut of this gem in a diamond ring is determined by human artistry.
Cuts of the stone in a diamond ring bring out the beauty that is already present. These cuts in the diamond ring reflect the light and give it the "oohs and ahhs" of sparkle. In the same way, a diamond ring is impressive due to its amount of karats.
However, size of a diamond ring is not determined by karats. The karats of a diamond ring refer to its weight. Historically, the method of weighing by karats came from the carob tree. Originally, it was thought that the carob tree seeds were very reliable in their weight. So the gems for diamond rings were weighed against the weight of the carob seeds. Although this system has become more regulated, we still refer to diamond rings today in terms of karats.
Clarity of a diamond ring is also determined by nature. A diamond ring's clarity can only be seen under a microscope where the imperfections are magnified. But, if a diamond ring is beautiful to the beholder, it does not really matter what a microscope would prove to show.
A diamond ring's color is often referred to. Again, created in the natural environment from whence it came, a diamond ring's color is shown by the way light goes through the stone. A colorless reflection is more desirable. If a diamond ring appears to have a yellowish tinge when reflected, the rating of the diamond ring deteriorates.
