Diamond Platinum Pendant
I'm just curious to know what most of your diamond ring sizes are?
Meaning--what is the carat weigt of your engagement (or wedding) ring?
I couldn't be happier. My band is plain white gold with a platinum head
and a round 1.5 carat diamond. I had originally wanted a princess cut
but when I tried this one on I just fell in love with it immediately.
I mentioned the idea of simply having my diamond reset in white gold or
platinum to match the platinum-diamond wedding band his grandmother gave
us and he had a COW. My ring is an emerald cut diamond, set at a 45 degree
angle from parallel to my finger, with baguettes on either side. Very
modern looking and geometric. The platinum ring is a continuous design
that looks like ivy leaves with small diamonds set into the centers of the
leaves. I thought they'd clash madly and wanted to wear them together, but
he freaked, being the sentimental guy he usually is NOT. Anyway, I've been
wearing them together and getting to really like the look. I probably
wouldn't "trade up" for a larger stone (mine's a little over a carat -
average in my circle of friends is one carat), but there are some larger
ones in my husband's family. The mitigating factor there is, larger stones
looked ridiculous on my hand. I tried on a two carat emerald cut diamond
for kicks, and it looked garish...on me. Now, a pendant or earrings, that
might be another story
