Designer Man Jewelry
Who is Your Favorite Accessories Designer? And why? The fashion designer
thread got me thinking how many wonderful designs and designers are out
there working in accessories. Here are mine:
Hermes - for timeless classics like the Birkin and scarves but also
for trendy fun items like the leather studded bracelets of a couple of
years back
Brighton - For detailing and versatility as many of the belts and
watchbands they offer are reversible, I love this line overall for
shoes, handbags, wallets, watches, jewelry, belts, everything.
Girlprops.com - jewelry that's original, fun, a bit saucy BUT
affordable.
Who are your fave accessories designers?
Shoes (men's): Cole Haan, of course, is the best. I also have some
from Sergio Brutini and INC that I like. For casual, I like
HushPuppies (in every color and two-tone that I can find), Skechers,
Clarks, Bass, and the Caterpillar (complete with CAT logo) collection
from Wolverine. Yes, in the oft-expresed opinion of my wife, I do
have "more shoes than any man has the right to own"!!
Jewelry: In the interest of marital bliss, I've bought more
than my share of jewelry over the years (and she's most definitely
worth it!). There are a couple of nice jewelry shops in the town
where I live, and they know quite well what my wife likes (and,
thankfully, what I can afford). Lately, I've been supplying my wife
with emerald green Helenite, the last piece of which, a necklace, she
will be getting for Valentine's Day. I just like the brilliant green
color. I also like the hand-made one-of-a-kinds I've found at the
Longview Gallery in Sperryville, VA, right in the heart of the
Shenandoah Valley. I don't get there too often, but, when they get
something in they think I might like, they take a picture of it and
send it to me. They're very nice people. I also like the Lighthouse
Lens-Cut lab-created stones from Strellman's in Oregon that one of
the local shops sells. Personally, I would love to have a ring and
matching cuff-links in their brilliant blue sapphires, but they are
way beyond my budget (at least for me).
