I have ITIL (IT Information Library) qualification and ITSMF (IT Service Management Foundation) membership.

I currently work for a Global Company in the UK, as a Service Client

Relationship Manager, responsible for delivering agreed service levels

for Web Hosting, Outsourcing and Network Solutions for Global Multi

Site corporate customers.

I am looking to emigrate to Australia, however, there are no Service

Management Skills on the skilled occupation list, or on the

occupations in demand list - The closest thing to it would be an IT

Manager - which is not really applicable.

I thought my current job was pretty leading edge within the ICT -

(Information Communication Technology) arena, but apparently not.

I do have my original apprenticeship and qualifications in Telecoms

engineering, but I have been a Manager for the last 4 years, not using

those skills.

Perhaps it would have been better to have stayed as an engineer

installing telephones and 60 points would be mine..!!

I would be very interested in hearing from anyone to see if IT Service

Management is recognised as a Skill, and indeed a Requirement within

Australia currently.

If it is, which area of accreditation would it fall under and what

skilled occupation would apply?

If it isn’t, what are my options?
I wouldn't worry too much about the classification. When you have your

skills assessed by the ACS, they will give you a classification that you

will apply for the visa with. In terms of your application to ACS, use

the 2231-79 classification.
