Debt Collection OR Corporate Scam?

Ten years ago, I obtained a credit card from a well-known financial

company, lets call X it for now. At one point, X contacted and offered

me an insurance on the credit card against unemployment. The insurance

will make a monthly payment on my balance while I am unemployed until I

am back to work.

Three years later, I became unemployed and activated the insurance. I

was very satisfied with the way the insurance covered my balanced while

unemployed. It would pay an average of $200 a month so my balance would

keep decreasing month-after-month.

Upon coming back to work, the 1st thing I did was to re-purchase the

same insurance. In mid of 2002, three years later, I became unemployed

again and, of course, I activated the insurance. Few months later I

recognized that my balance is not decreasing at all. When I called X,

it denied any responsibility and left me to call an insurance company I

never heard of, let call it Y for now, to resolve the matter! I have

never been contacted by Y, never heard of it, and would have never

bought that insurance if it wasn't offered by X.

Few years later, X hired an Org in OH to go after me and take me to

court telling the judge that my case is about "debt collection" and

hiding the insurance element altogether!!

In court, I told the judge of the insurance I had and paid for over 6

years. The judge requested from the Org to obtain some monthly

statements of two different periods I specified that show I was paying

a monthly premium on my insurance, used it one time, and continued

paying for it in the 2nd period before I became unemployed again.

The Org promised the court to do so but never was successful! At that

point, the Org changed its game and went to play a different song!

I contacted X to obtain copies of those monthly statements but was

advised to write to a POB address of X and give it about 3 months. Six

months passed and nothing have been received!

I am worried that the judge might be fooled finally that this is

nothing but a "debt collection" which is 100% false!

What should I do?
- Find a lawyer to help subpoena their records. If they don't comply

then, the court should presume that what they haven't produced would

show you are right and they are wrong.

- Good advice, and even if you think you can't afford it, be aware
