Who can help my problem with Npower and the debt collection agency ?
I have never been an Npower customer.
I live with my parents and though a graduate (utility accounts at student
addresses have been Scottish Power)I have recieved a debt letter out of the
blue following no previous bills or warnings to my home address demanding
payment within 7 days. I have never been responsible for any bills at my
parents house and my father has an EXCELLENT credit rating.
I have tried contacting both Npower and the debt collection agency to no avail
("apologies....on this occasion we are to busy to take your call. Pleas etry
late.....). I therefore have no idea where this bill has originated from and
no way to get in touch with them.
I have sent Npower an e-mail but do not hold my breath for a response.
Can anyone advise me on my legal position? I am not in debt to them and cannot
contact them to find out on what grounds they believe I am.
