Customer Relationship Management Banks-Some question
I have a 4000 ( actually its a Cabletron Customer Relationship Management-3E )
that won't boot. Some questoins...
It has 4 30-pin simm banks ( shared memory ) and 4 72-pin banks
( main memory ). Will it function with the shared memory slots empty? 4
1mb simms for the shared... not 4mb... right? 4 4mb simms for the system
memory... right? And parity for both?
It will not work with the shared memory missing. All I/O goes through shared
memory. Parity is required for all DRAM.
Nope it needs the shared ram. Day late and a dollar short as I just threw
out a bad CRM-3E that had the shared ram you needed. I have found system
memory from grandstore.com for the CRM but they are kind of shady so you
need to stay on top of them.
