I tried to install the maximizer software CRM
My new Quickbooks premier 2005 asks me for disks when I press
the customer care centre functions in quickbooks.
The windows installer activates and asks me for a source, saying
the feature you are tyring to use in on a network or resource
that is unavailable, click ok to try again or enter an alternative
path to folder....
Then when i press cancel the quickbooks bounces right back.
What is going on? I tried to install the maximizer software CRM
today and then uninstalled it which led to this problem.
Whis is missing here?
The correct newsgroup.
Actually, I waited awhile before posting, to see if anyone here was willing
to give it a go.
Your problem occurred after installation and uninstallation of software
completely unrelated to QuickBooks. It is possible that the CRM software
reset some pathways, or that when you uninstalled the CRM software, you
removed something QuickBooks required.
It is also possible you have a network problem.
I suggest you post your problem to one of the newsgroups whose function is
to handle windows or system problems. You can even cross-post to here as
well - there are some really savvy computer users in this group.
you might try uninstalling then reinstalling QB (first, be
sure you have a backup copy of your data in a safe location). L's
first comment is quite correct - the problem was apparently caused by
either you or the CRM software, and is not really a QB problem;
nevertheless, reinstalling might solve it.
