Move CRM databases

We have MS CRM 3.0, Reporting Services, and CRM/ReportServer databases on a
single server. We now want to move the CRM and Reporting services
databases to a SQL Server 2000 cluster. Anyone know if there is a tool to
do this or do we need to move them manually and update the database and
metabase keys in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\MSCRM ?
There is no tool to do thisa automatically. YOu can read the Implementation
Guide where it talks about disaster recovery. Basically you can restore your
database to a new sql server and then point your crm web server at the new
sql system by using dpeloyment manager to configure sql server etc
What happens when you follow your document 917948 (except we are using
SQL2000) and then get the following error in the MS CRM Deployment Manager?

no microsoft crm databases were found on this server
Experienced the same error "no microsoft crm databases were found on this
server" post move of SQL databases to a new server (different name and same
server as CRM install). Everything was in order with SQL. The problem was
with CRM. After much troubleshooting I uninstalled CRM and reinstalled CRM
fresh. This resolved the problem. Outlook users with the CRM Client had to
reboot to get their end working again. I had to go into the SETTINGS/USERS
section of the Administrative website and uncheck a box that said "Restricted
Access Mode" or something similar for the users. Everything works now. Hope
this helps you too.
