CRM company
Our company bought a CRM software. It's basically a MSSQL database with an
application to talk to it. They needed remote access for troubleshooting
purposes so I set up my 2000 server with remote access on to the server and
nothing else on the network. I find out through the grapevine that the
company that sold us the software is complaining that they don't like that
and they would prefer a highspeed connection to it. I don't want to give it
a public IP and open up ports on Bordermanager so they can Terminal services
into though as this is just and internal server. Your opinions as to
whether I should tell them to pack sand or not.
Sounds exactly like the CRM company we use ... I basically told them it was
against company policy.
Do their initials begin with CR ???
I also ask , if they need access because of a bad design , then its a bad
product !
Plus , any server/database work has to be scheduled, backed-up, plans layed
out of what is going to change etc etc etc etc
