Still need help on credit repair ?

I wrote a while ago asking for help and advice on credit repair. I didn't

get any responses so I'm asking one more time. Can this be done legally?

Has anyone in this group had any experience in having negative items deleted

from their credit report due to the credit report agencys not responding

in time to complaints? Any response I get to this post would be greatly

appreciated
There have been several responses which warned you of the common

credit repair scams that CLAIM, quite incorrectly, that you can

have true information removed permanently simply because the

creditor didn't respond in time to a challenge. BTW the credit

reporting agency merely reports on the information provided by

creditors. If you challenge an item, the agency is supposed to

ask for confirmation and if it is not received, the agency is

supposed to remove the item. This is the concept on which many

of the common "credit repair" scams are based. Unfortunately

when the original creditor DOES get around to responding back

to the reporting agency, the bad entry goes right back on your

report.

Put yourself in the place of a potential lender. If you see a

credit report with items popping in and out like this, would you

get a warm fuzzy feeling that the person is genuinely trying to

rebuild their credit or would you get the impression they still

didn't understand the entire issue and were merely trying to

pull a fast one.
