Credit card application, i need more info Thanks in advance for your wisdom
I applied for a credit card (United Mileage Plus VISA) but I was
denied due to a lack of credit history. The Bank representative told
me that I don't have a bad credit but not enough credit history.
I would like to know how long does it take to get a good credit
history. What are the criteria of a "good credit history"?
I applied 3 months ago, I got the answer from the bank today but since
my application I used another credit card so my credit history must be
better (never carry a balance), do you think I can apply soon for the
same card and be approved?
If I was denied by this bank, do you think I will be automatically
denied from other bank?
- The criteria for "good credit history" varies from company to company so
nobody can give you a straight answer. Some consider a year or two decent,
some want 5 or more years on more than one account...it depends on the card
issuer.
