Would like to get a copy of my credit report,.... Use a "free" websites or some alternative?
I would like to get a copy of my credit report. I see television ads
and internet banner ads advertizing free credit reports. I truly have
to wonder if there is some type of catch. If these free credit report
services like http://www.freecreditreport.com and others are not worth
it, can someone recommend a paid website that will provide a copy of
my credit report to me HASSLE-FREE ?
You have to sign up for a fee-based credit-watch service to get your
free credit report on freecreditreport.com. You can cancel within 30
days, but I found it a lot easier to just go to the web sites of the
credit reporting agencies and do it there. In my state, you get a free
credit report per year. You might get that too. If not, it's worth it
shell out the $10 or so to get it straight from the source, IMO.
