Help finding silver ring
With the 5 pieces of jewlery thread I was reminded of a question I've
been meaning to ask.
I am looking for a place that sells or creates silver jewelry. I don't
want the 'in the mall' kind of silver. I am ISO a square polished silver
ring that is at least 1cm (what I percieve to be a 1/4 inch) in
thickenss. And I want it to be a sharp edged square, not rounded edges.
I have a ring like this already but it is made of very poor quality
silver and has dented. If I cannot find a similar replacement, I would
love to have this one remade.
So far I've tried looking on search engines for 'silver rings' but most
of these site seem a bit sketchy.
Any suggestions?
the design sounds fairly simple. if your local college has a jewelry
making class, you could probably "commission" one of the students to make
the ring for you for much cheaper than a store would charge.
When did you graduate? There's a place like that on King Street, across
from the farmer's market. Kinda $$$$ but beautiful stuff. I'd love to have
an engagement ring from there. (sending the SO a virtual poke in the ribs)
I mentioned www.bomasilver.com yesterday. They have a lifetime warantee on
their jewelry, and have a huge number of rings.
I don't know if you can order through their site. But I know someone who
sells their stuff retail. If you find something on the site that you love,
I would be happy to ask my friend if he could order it and have it sent to
you. He's a very accommodating guy. And I think he sells the stuff at
prices that are lower than the "suggested retail prices" shown on the site.
