Crm troubles :Confused - Clarify please?

Unfortunately I find myself in a situation where I have to run Exchange with
OWA access, our company website, and web access to CRM all on the server. I
am having a great of difficulty getting all of these things to function. CRM
doesn't seem to like operating out of anything other than the default
website. Is this correct? When I try to go to OWA with Microsoft CRM
installed I get redirected from http://mycompany.com/exchange to
http://crm/exchange and a page does not exist error. I can't get to CRM at
all. It is currently on its own crm.mycompany.com website. Nothing is
production yet so I can reinstall everything AGAIN if I have to. I guess the
questions boil down to -
Do OWA and CRM need to be on seperate websites?
Does CRM have to use the default website? Need to clarify Thank for reply
CRM & OWA can exist on the same same server and same website. I have seen it
work successfully, so it must be something in your DNS entry that is causing
this behaviour. I think the bigger issue is you can't even get t o CRM.

CRM cen be installed in any website installed on the server, so you could
install it into another web site to prevent conflicts all together.
