Celtic Love Knot Jewelry

Most jewelry really suffers in description. But I will say that one of
my favorite pieces is a Navajo Slave Bracelet. In certain parts of the
country, these are not hard to come by. Around here, they are--especially
nice ones. I looked for mine for several years. There's one of a similar
notion, though not appearance, here:

A lot of slave bracelets that you see--they're popular in certain
subcultures--ignore the crucial midpoint, I suppose because they don't know
the lore behind them. The three stones of the slave bracelet represent the
earth, the moon and the sun, and the chain represents the connection of life
between them. The one stone rests on the center finger, the other in more
or less the middle of the hand and the third on the wrist.

Unfortunately, this bracelet doesn't fit me at the moment. I still
haven't lost the Garrett weight, although since he's two now, I'm willing to
just claim it as mine.

I'm really partial to silver and semi-precious stones. I'd take an opal
over a diamond any day.
Diamond, shmiamond. I'd be too afraid that I'd lose the darn thing, or that
I'd scratch someone or something. Although I've seen some nice ones, I generally
find diamond rings to be more of a handicap than anything else. Me, I like
amethyst, and plain silver rings. Christopher and I wear celtic love knot bands
as our wedding rings.
I lost my diamond nose stud to Freya's belly. ("Get in me belly!") I
was in the shower and she brought me my empty jewelry box. She was
sucking on the circular barbell that I wear in my septum and ate the
only real diamond I had. Does she have a nasal fixation, I wonder?

As far as the Celtic rings, that's what Jon and I got each other back
when our love was new (I love saying that!). We got them from Walker
Metalsmiths, a great Celtic jewelry company in NY. The URL is
http://www.celtarts.com/ . I wanted to give the guy a plug because his
work is excellent and it's his own family business. Freya has yet to
eat that ring.
I think it relates quite a bit! This sounds really cool, could you
tell me more about them?

(Yes, I've got mounds and mounds of old jewelry and I'd love to be able
to do something cool and creative like that with them...
