I'm looking for a good CDL driving school to get my CDL class A and become a
truck driver ..
Does any of you have information about the best trucking schools in South
East region?
What about free training or company paid training?
If you can afford to pay for school on your own,I would go that way vs
driving for a company that put you thru school,then you are under contract
to them for a year.Do your homework in picking out a company you want to
drive for,not only pay, but benefits,and time at home,equipment,and
last,but not least talk to some of the drivers from whatever company you
want to drive for,they are your best source of information.Recruiters are
only there to tell you about the good side of their company,drivers tell
you about the downside as well.Also,ask about unloading,whether they pay
for unloading,or require you to unload.If you can find a private company
that has their own truck fleet vs a trucking company hauling general freight
would be the better way to go.
