Business Correspondence Course - Correspondence course?

I'm looking for a correspondence course in Aromatherapy. One I've found is
offered by the West Coast Institute of Aromatherapy. The site says it meets
& exceeds NAHA standards. http://www.westcoastaromatherapy.com
Has anyone here had any experience (good or bad) with this course? Any other
suggestions for correspondence courses?

Are you in Canada? If so, West Coast Institute may be a good option but I
don't know anything about them. If you are in the United States, I'd
recommend Aroma Studio. Their test is also accredited by the NAHA and is a
little less expensive than West Coast Institute. I took my certification
test from Aroma Studio and plan to do my next level with them too. Out of
all the accredited companies that I looked at, Aroma Studio had the best
price (at the time at least) and their test exceeds the NAHA's standards.
You can check them out at www.aromastudio.com or go to
www.naha.org/Education.htm to look for more schools or home study courses.

That looks like a really good course. I like the fact that
they also cover Flower Essences. I'm not a Canadian, although I live near
BC. Since I don't plan to do bodywork, I guess that's not an issue.
Did you find Aroma Studio's business advice useful?

Actually, yes I did. Although I had been operating a hobby business for
some time before I took the course, I think that all of the business advice
given is well thought out and sound. It's really the basics and a
foundation that I think could apply to many businesses, not just
aromatherapy. She also offers resource information to help get you started
in finding what you need for your business. I felt it was a very complete
program for a first level course.

Don't go with Stonebridge Associated Colleges. I signed up for both
aromatherapy and Holistic Healther Therapist. When the lessons showed
up after two weeks, the anatomy and physiology class was all of 18
pages. It took me about an hour for both lessons and they wanted to
only send one lesson at a time with two weeks travel time in between.
Not to mention the anatomy segement was 18 pages. I sent it right
back for a refund. I was very disappointed and learned you get what
you pay for.
