Bracelets: Choosing the right one for you

The great thing about bracelets is that it's really hard to go wrong with them. Yes, each year, there are trends with bracelets (remember the rubber bracelets Madonna wore in the early 1980's? If you don't, don't worry. They're making a comeback). However, these trends come and go quickly. Choosing among the countless bracelets out there should only depend on a few things.

First, decide from bracelets that will fit you properly. Nothing is worse than having bracelets that are too big or too loose! The bracelets with either cut off your circulation or keep falling off! Bracelets should be an accessory that is an extension on you. They shouldn't draw attention to themselves because you have to keep playing with the darned things!

Next, the bracelets you wear should complement the clothes you usually wear. If you wear casual clothes, then go with bracelets that will not stand out as overdone our gaudy. This doesn't necessarily mean smaller is better-but if you wear jeans all the time, perhaps large carat diamond bracelets are not your best bet. However, every girls should have at least one or two bracelets for that nice evening out, so if you can buy (or get the guy in your life) that nice bauble, then go for it!

Lastly, don't wear too many bracelets at once. Going back to the Madonna reference earlier, wearing bracelets up to the elbow just really isn't necessary, nor is it flattering for most people. Somewhere in my past, I fell for this trend and it's not one of my best fashion moments. When your bracelets sound like jingle bells or wind chimes as you walk-it's time to take a couple off.

Bracelets are meant to be pretty and fun! There is no rule book for wearing them, but by exercising some common sense, then your bracelets will accentuate the many positives you already have!
