Repo a boat?
Repo a boat?I am renting out a boat slip. The tenant is not paying rent. Do I need a
court order to repo his boat or file a lien against it?
If a go to small claims court, I have to go where the tenant lives, which is
100 miles away. Can I file in civil court in the city where I live? We're
talking about $500 total.
The answer depends on which state the slip is located in. Often, there are
special rules governing admiralty (maritime) issues such as this.
