Neutrogena skin care rave

I've been trying to clear up my skin for like 20 years now. Seriously,
pimples are the bane of my existence, and I'm 32 for f***'s sake! The
dermatologist has cleared up the worst of it, but still they appear... I've
tried everything from Clearasil to cortisone over the decades, sticking
mainly to expensive stuff (if I pay more, it'll work better, right?).

Well, it's been 3 weeks, and still no zits! And, it's 'that time,' too. I
think I may have finally found something that works.

1. Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser with AHA's and BHA's - every day,
twice a day.
2. Neutrogena Healthy Skin face lotion- with spf 15, and AHA's.

There's other stuff in the skin care regime I still do: salon facials, mud
masks at home, etc. But this is the latest change that seems to make a
difference. And cheap, too!

I got the idea from an Allure magazine a month or two back. They
recommended the stuff for wrinkles *and* oily/pimply prone skin. I know,
this ng has been recommending it for months. My new dermatologist
recommended this stuff, too. But I had one of those REAL acid peels once -
to help with the acne and scarring. Ouch. It just took me a while to get
over a negative association, I guess.
-i have the healthy skin SPF w/ aha's and whatnot and i LOOOOVE it. it's the
one thing i always go back to, even after brief flings. i tried the one w/
retinol and that one gave me zits and clogged pores galore. yucky.

for the record, i have somewhat oily skin (esp. in the t-zone) and it works
nicely. absorbs well. i don't get many zits, but i'm also on the pill, and
can claim good genetics (my sister has amazing skin also, which we probably
inherited from either our mother or paternal grandmother, who is glowing at
80).

it's gotten pricier over the years, almost 10 bucks now, but well worth it.

-I also love this cleanser and can use it everyday without irritation.
I can see that it might be irritating for those with sensitive skin,
though.

I use the foaming cleanser every night to take off my make up and the
deep clean astringent as well.
