Anyone Try AVEDA Makeup?
My hair stylist gave me a copy of some magazine distributed by AVEDA, and
I notice that they sell foundation. The Vanilla shade is their lightest,
and looks like it would match my skin color very well. My skin is
slightly sensitive, very fair, and prone to breakouts. So far, in my
quest for the perfect foundation, Prescriptives has come out on top. So,
does anyone have any thing to say about AVEDA foundation (or any of their
other makeup products, actually)?
-I use the loose powder and love it, and I also like
the eyeshadows and lipstick. I've used the blush,
and it is good, too
-Aveda: love the lipsticks!
the eyeshadows are fine, but I didn't like them enough to buy more.
The foundation I have--Natural Colour Equilibrium Fluide Foundation in Ble
(wheat)--is very light and goes on smoothly, but it made my face break out
in little bumps. I much prefer Virtual Skin.
-I tried & used Aveda make-up (blush, eyeshadows & lipsticks) a year ago,
and actually liked the lipstick (shade name-Shizandra). I had to stop
using it because of a weird reaction I got-- after an applicaton, my lips
began to feel tingly and then swelled up to enormous proportions, and was
extremely itchy. I say this is weird because I've been using the product
for over 3 months already, with no adverse reactions. Since then, no more
Aveda lipstick for me....
