Associate Connecticut Degree In Nursing Program, Diploma Mills?
Does anyone know of any distance education schools that
aren't diploma mills? I'm attempting to pursue an associates degree in
engineering technology while I'm in the military, and I would like to
know if there is a distance education program that has LEGITIMATE
accreditation?
There are many legitimate and accredited schools that provide distance
education, in a variety of media. Since you're in the military, check with
your education officer. And, if you have access to the World Wide Web,
check http://voled.doded.mil/dantes/ for info on Defense Activity for
Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES)
According to the _1996 ABET Accreditation Yearbook_ (pg 108) the
University of New Hampshire offers daytime bachelor's programs
in Electrical Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering
Technology that are accredited by the Accreditation Board for
Engineering & Technology (ABET), which is a professional
accreditation; regional accreditation is a prerequisite for
this professional accreditation. You might want to see if
these programs are available in a distance format and if
they still carry ABET accreditation in that format.
I skimmed Mr. Vise's list rather quickly, so maybe some of
the other distance education engineering programs on his list
are ABET accredited.
I don't have any personal experience with the University of
New Hampshire.
