Vitamin C And Body Temperature

I read somewhere once that excess vitamin C raises body temperature. And
thus accelerates aging. Is this true?

How much Vit C is really optimal? My previous doctor told me that
amounts in excess of 250mg are simply removed from the body in urine.
-Huh?? Where'd you get high-dose vitamin C in 1962?

I have never heard this, but yes if it did chronically raise body
temperature, that would not be good.
I have taken at least, 6 grams daily for over 15 years now and my body
temperature remained what it always was, a little over one degree low.
Now that I am on moderate calorie restriction, my body temperature is
down to 96.2 or lower first thing in the morning.

However, what these doctors pay little attention to is that it is not
excreted in the urine *immediately* (vitamin C has something like a 4
hour serum half-life), and thus, if you take it several times daily,
your average serum level can remain quite high and you can gain (what I
am convinced are) important benefits from those high levels.
