Diet and MS

I am very new to MS, was DX about 2 weeks ago...

In my reading travels on the internet, Diet is spoken about a lot. When I
saw my Neuro, he said interferon treatment.... not lets look at your diet,
stress levels and lifestyle. If there is so much info about diet, and MS
then why don't Docs talk about it ......they head straight to extreme
injection treatment.

If there is a possibility that Diet can help then why are there not studies
done about it, if it can help??
-There are many opinions but no consensus.

One of the best MS docs said there is no scientific evidence that diet
affects MS.

Everybody agrees that a good diet improves general health.

-Drs do not study nutrition in med school so don't expect them to answer any
diet questions.

They're right though, there hasn't been any studies done on diet and its
efficacy in helping MS. But thats over. Dr Ashton Embry just got the $
together to fund something.

go to paleodiet.com and look up the links there. Go to Betty Iams site. she
has news for the newly diagnosed.
