Skin bleaching

The opposite of tanning is skin bleaching (also called browning), something
common in the Caribbean. Is browning popular in your parts?
-the products are made of hydroquinone. I think the primary benefit is for older
ladies with age spots, and some acne scars. (white women use the cream too)
I doubt it would be possible to substantially bleach the skin. Too much
maintenance. Better to live with what you have, and wear sunblock everyday.
(not a bad deal in general, since, although white people tend to get more skin
cancer and definitely more wrinkles, my grandmother (who is black) has worn
hats and sunblock her whole life and her skin is taught and wrinkle free and
she's 78 years old)

-Have you ever noticed how, once some black women become rich and famous,
their skin becomes lighter? I am a brown-skinned woman (my b/f says that
I'm a latte color), and proud of it.
