Creat address for Crm Software in Uk
We have CRM sofeware installed here on SBS2003 r2, and it is working fine.
The URL in UK to access the server is http://server:5555. That is simple for
me to remember, but some of the employess have issues. For them I have
created shortcuts.
I thought it would be easier still if there was a way to create an
address of http://crm to point to that location. From some articles
I've read, some people seem to have CRM set up that way.
Is there any way to do this with CRM and SBS2003 in Uk?
You should be able to achieve this by doing the following:-
1/ In Inetmgr goto the website and create a host header within the MSCRM
website.
2/ Change the port on the MSCRM website from :5555 port :80
3/ Create a DNS alias for the Host Header Entry you created
4/ Goto Regedit and change the MSCRM url from http://servername:5555 to
crm/MSCRMServices.
