Acne treatments for sensitive skin?
I've tried about every presciption acne cream and it has been a big waste of
money - just about every one made my skin bright red & burning. Does anyone
with sensitive, acne-prone skin have a suggestion for a good pimple cream? Has
anyone tried Philosophy's Exit Strategy?
-I was gonna suggest Exit Strategy as soon as I saw your subject headline!
I had been in the same situation as you, looking for something for pimples
but doesn't cause redness or stinging. So I bought Exit Strategy and switched
all my cleansers and stuff to something really gentle and not specifically for
"blemish-fighting" as the ones I've been using.
Exit Strategy is okay in that it doens't irritate my skin but at the same time,
I am not sure if it's really effective in clearing up acne. The most
importatnt thing is to use gentle cleansers and toners. I currently have EL
Verite, OoO foaming cleanser for sensitive skin, Philosophy's Real Purity, and
DDF gentle cleanser. I also use Dermatologica's sensitive skin booster before
I apply any med for pimples, and the redness has subsided significantly. Get
an oil-free moisturizer like Px Comfort Lotion or Super Line Preventor as well
to keep you skin dehydrated without being greasy.
Then apply benz peroxide like oxy or persagel sparingly. This routine has
helped me greatly.
-a) have you tried cleocin t lotion??
b) try cleansing with oilatum AD cleansing lotion....it's like cetaphil, but
less caustic, has no oil, has antibacterial properties, and is made for
sensitive skin. i have seen an improvement in my skin sice i began cleansing
with it just last week.
