anyone heard of this: ACNE STATIN ?
A friend "Dr. Karr's ACNE STATIN kit for me, as seen on TV. I started
using it and my face has seemed to break out more. Has anyone heard
of this kit, and if so has it worked?
- I'm from Canada (Burnaby) and let me tell you, I've tried
Acne-Statin. We actually don't have it here, so I got my aunt in
California to buy it for me. IT DID NOT WORK FOR ME! I found that my
face became quite itchy, irritated and sometimes dry. I finally had to
stop when I started to break out even more. The stuff stinks too. I
still got one full bottle and a half of the cleanser/moisturizer and one
half a bottle of the Acne Treatment Cream. The Salicylic Acid in the
cream is not strong enough (I think) -- it's only 0.5% -- I've seen
higher for Clearasil and Oxy. I think the Kit does mention that you may
(will) breakout in the beginning of the "program", so maybe you are at
this stage. Alternatively, would you keep using a product that will cause
you to break out?! I hope not.
Let me tell you, I "had" major acne for years and years. Tried everything
in the drugstore and then some from my doctor. None worked. But I
finally hit upon a solution -- skin regime.
-STOP USING THIS!!! Go to a dermatologist. You need something prescription
most likely. I used something similar to what you are using, and it made
my acne quite bad to the point where I had to use accutane twice.
