Acne Treatment Clinic
Has anyone used products from the Acne Treatment Clinic in Walnut Creek,
CA? They say that their products do not contain ingredients that have
been clinically shown to aggravate acne. Since we must wash our faces
with some kind of soap, and every one I've tried so far has aggravated
my skin, I've been thinking about trying their stuff. It's on the
expensive side ($20.), so I'm not sure that it's just a rip-off.
-I am from Walnut Creek and yes, I used their products. They are expensive and
if I were you, I would not use them. Their BPO is great but besides that, it
did not clear up my acne. I still use their BPO because it is stronger than
the over-the-counter but nothing to completely clear my skin.
It is up to you to give it a try but I think you can find cheaper products that
work better or go to a dermatologist.
- I just visited their web site. Unfortunately, you can't get any
information on their products simply by visiting the site. You have to
fill out their questionnaire, and let them send you the information on
the products they feel you need (you are under no obligation to purchase
anything).
I don't know that I would feel comfortable myself with this process,
especially since it sounds as if the people involved are a college grad
and a chemist - *NOT* a Dermatologist and a Pharmacologist. Simply having
had a problem with acne for years *doesn't* qualify you to treat it.
Instead of spending money trying product after product, watching the
money go down the tubes, why not try a licensed esthetician or a
dermatologist. They should be able to give you samples of products. That
way, you can try them out before having to actually spend tons of money
on full-size products. You spend the money on the office visit, but it
could save you lots in the long run.
