My Review of AHA's and BHA's at fading away acne marks

Well, for the past four weeks, I have been using ALPHA HYDROX's 10 %
glycolic acid (AHA) cream to try to fade away my acne marks. Every
night, I would apply it for about 4-6 hours before washing it all off.
So far, the marks haven't faded much at all; in fact i think my marks
have grown more noticeable ! My guess is that the glycolic acid peeled
away my tan, so it made my marks more prominent.
The BHA (salicyclic acid 2%) that I use everyday doesn't do a thing at
fading away my acne marks. All they do is smooth out my skin, which is
already smooth now.

So in all, I think that OTC AHA's and BHA's don't really help fade away
acne marks that quickly. It'l probably take ALOT of time before you'll
start noticing a difference. But if you want a quick fix to help fade
away your marks temporarily, get a light tan ........ the tan will blend
in your acne marks ..... very very cool !

So does anyone our there have any other suggestions or success stories
at trying to fade away acne marks ?
-Benzoyl peroxide has always worked for me

-I used the alpha hydrox product, though I used the oil-free form of the
product, not the creme form. Anyway, it's does good at keeping blackheads at
bay. I use it one a week and what it does is give my face a bit of a light
peel. It's a decent exfoliator. I'm not sure if my red marks have faded away
just because of time or just because of using glycolic acid, my feeling is
that it has a little bit to do with both. I'll keep using it anyhow to keep
away blackheads on my nose.
