Skin care for guys?

My guy friend has decided that he needs a skincare regime. He has pretty
normal skin - slightly greasy and is prone to breakouts. He said he is
'sick of getting pimples.'

What's a good 'guy-friendly' skin care line? I was thinking Kiehls or
Neutrogena? And what products should he be looking at? A cleanser and
treatment product?
-i like Mint Wash and a few other cleansers from Origins. the one made from
clay is good. i like the foaming one that just came out too.

-I use Cetaphil in the morning (also to shave with = no irritation) and
Aesop Mandarin Hydrating Cream, at night I use Paula's Choice Cleanser
normal to dry skin followed by her 1% BHA Solution and 2.5% Benzoyl
Peroxide Solution. The BHA and benz. peroxide are the best products
ever for my acne prone skin! You could also try Philosophy Hope in a
Bottle Oil-Free as an alternative BHA product. Every male model I
reccomend this to sees an improvement in his skin. The BHA also
prevents ingrowns! I use a 10% benz. peroxide gel on isolated spots

-I tried Clinique about 5 years ago. It gave me major break-outs, dry
and flaking skin. A terrible experience. Now I see why, the toners
contain alcohol, menthol and acetone! The soap contains lard an lye,
notorious for blocking pores! They do have a good shaving gel though
that's very mild.
