help on skin care!!!
I went to the dermatologist yesterday for my mild, but chronic acne, and
he prescribed me Cleosin. Does anybody know about this medicine?
Anyways, he said that I needed to use a gentle oil-free cleanser and
oil-free moisturizer with SPF 15. He gave me samples of Neutrogena Gentle
Cleanser (for Sensitive Skin, which I didn't think I had), and the
Neutrogena Moisture with SPF 15. He said that I could use any gentle
oil-free cleanser I wanted (I didn't have to use the Neutrogena) and any
oil-free moisturizer with SPF 15 I wanted. I asked him if the Neutrogena
wash would take off my makeup as well as cleanse my skin. He said yes, but
on the package, it says nothing about getting rid of dirt, oil, and
makeup. I think I would rather use something else. I have heard good
things about Neutrogena Foaming Facial Cleanser (the one in the green
bottle for combination skin), and yesterday I saw the Purpose Gel
Cleanser. It said it would remove dirt, oil, and makeup, and was even
gentle enough to use around the eyes for eye makeup. That sounds like my
kind of cleanser!!! Anyways, sorry this post was so long, but now I
wanted to know if any of you have had luck with certain oil-free gentle
cleansers (will take off your makeup and/or cleanse your skin; I don't
mind using 2 separate products to take off my makeup and cleanse my skin)
and oil-free moisturizers with SPF 15. Right now I'm using Clinique
Foaming Face Wash to take off my face makeup, and Maybelline Oil-Free Eye
Makeup Remover for my eye makeup. To wash my face in the morning and at
night, I am using Freeman's Skin Control Cleanser (it has salycilic acid
in it) and for the oil-free moisturizer, the Freeman's Skin Control Oil
Free Moisturizer. My sun block is currently Clinique Oil Free CIty Block.
These are all products that I already had and used, but I was wondering
if there's anything better
-Lancome Clarifiance even for oily breakout prone skin? I heard that was
for normal to dry skin.
-Clarifiance is for Normal to Oily skin. It doesn't break me out, and
I have acne prone skin and am using Retin-A.
-Lancome has this new range for oily skin.....forgot what it is call..but go
and check it out at the counter!
