Rosacea Skin

i am a 19 year old male that has been hiding from everyone in the
last couple of years. i am not 100% but about 80% i have rosacea. I
have been to so many skin specialists and some say i have eczema,
others sebborhoeic derm. and one has told me rosacea. All symptoms i
have point to rosacea. i have a dull red to dull purple underneath
my eyes nosal folds and nose one side of the face is worse than the
other. occasional itching of the cheeks, itchy eyes. somewhat
scaling and couple of pustules. besides this condition i have acne
on my forhead which is 100% not related to each other. Please help
its really impacting my life. i am so unconfident low self esteem at
the moment and i need help?

Please anyone with experience suggest where to go from now and try
to recomend something that is natrual and not drugs

And im so glad this group exists

P.S. Ive started getting abnormaly red at the age of 14, 15 and i
didnt have acne at that time so just by seeing my description is
this rosacea or not?
If you don't want to go down the prescription route (although antibiotics could help both
rosacea and your acne) then I would perhaps reccomend the supplements grape seed
extract/marine pine bark available from the health food shop (not cheap though). If your
skin can tolerate topicals then it may also be worth giving jojaba oil ago as it can also help
seb derm. Again this is availabe from the health food store and you should only buy it in
pure form and not mixed with anything else, I would also recommend doing a test patch
for a few days to see how your skin reacts.

I personally also take an antihistame tablet every day as this reduces the inflammation and
calms the skin. I take the unbranded form of clarityn, but again doesn't work for
everyone.

You could try taking some pictures and posting them up if you want but I always think
they are worth taking so you can show the derm your skin when you go to the
appointment.

Finally I would suggest you think about your diet and fluid intake. I always notice a
differnece in my skin if I eat certain foods. This varies for everyone but the usual culprits
are processed foods, dairy (especially cheese), tomatoes, oranges, sweets or high sugar
foods.

As you are probably aware it is a matter of trial and error and so you shouldn't try too
many new things in one go. I hope that some of this advice helps but I wouldn't ignore
the help that prescription drugs can bring. I also suffered from acne and rosacea in my
teens and found great relief in antibiotics. It can be a very distressing time as all your
mates seem to be out having fun but you are not alone in this and now you have found the
forum you should have access to great advice.
